Guided tour of Voergaard Castle
Discover Voergaard Castle and dive into a world of history and mystery. On this tour you will be guided through the castle's opulent salons and the impressive French collection of antiques and art. Hear the fascinating stories of the castle's former owners, the legends handed down and the famous ghost stories that have made Voergaard Castle a unique place. This experience is perfect for history enthusiasts and those looking for an exciting and educational day. After the tour, you can take a walk around the moat, take a look in the old cellar under the castle or enjoy a relaxing moment in the castle cafe with a cup of coffee and a delicious cake while digesting the impressions of the day. Voergaard Castle also offers a shop where you can find local specialties, handicrafts and books about the castle's history. PRACTICAL INFORMATION: The tour includes several stair races and unfortunately it is not possible to bring wheelchairs, strollers or the like. There is a 200-metre walk from the shop to the castle on medieval, uneven pavement. The tour is usually in Danish, but printed manuscripts are distributed as needed in German, English or French. It is not possible to enter the castle without a tour.

Christmas at Voergaard Castle
Adventurous Christmas at Voergaard Slot **November 28—30, 2025\ December 5—7, 2025** All days from 10-16 You and your family are guaranteed a Christmas spirit when you visit Voergaard during the Christmas days. Here you will get beauty, cozy atmosphere, walk-around entertainment, delicious food and the opportunity to find a great gift and delicacies for Christmas days. Quite unusually, you can get to walk around the castle at your own pace and enjoy the beautiful salons and the creative and sumptuous decoration of Bjarne Als of the Bering House of Flowers. Bjarne Als himself will be present in the pop-up shop. You can also find new inspiration for your Christmas decorations at Bjarne's two daily inspiration demonstrations. In the Ridehallen and around the castle grounds you will find atmospheric stalls with both delights and the opportunity to do good Christmas shopping, eat your fill of delicious Christmas food or enjoy a glass of mulled wine and good apple slices. *Parking: * Parking costs DKK 40 per car and is charged on arrival. You can pay with both cash and MobilePay. The money goes 50/50 to a local sports association's youth work and the preservation of Voergaard Castle. NOTE! Unfortunately, we do not have good conditions for wheelchairs and people with severe walking difficulties, as some of the pavement is medieval - and uneven. The castle has several stair runs.

Medieval Days at Voergaard
Step into a world of medieval atmosphere when Voergaard Castle opens its doors to Medieval Days. Here you and your family can experience a wealth of exciting activities that take you back to the summer of 1533, when Bishop Stygge Krumpen holds a market. The stalls are set up by shopkeepers, landowners, craftsmen, paupers and industrious ladies for trade and the dissemination of medieval handicrafts, while the bishop looks on. The Medieval Days at Voergaard Castle is a unique opportunity for the whole family to immerse themselves in history in a fun and authentic way. Come and experience a summer day in 1533 at Voergaard.

Picnic basket for two
During the summer period (except during Medieval Days 12 - 19 July), from Tuesdays to Saturdays you can order a picnic basket for two to enjoy on the castle grounds with one you care about. All you have to do is pick up your picnic basket, find a table on the castle grounds and enjoy a nice lunch with someone you care about. The Count's Picnic Basket contains: Tapas for two (also available in vegetarian or pescetarian version) Cold drinks (you choose upon arrival) Cake, snacks and sweet. Everything for your coverage *Price: * 395 kr + fee (for two people) Coffee and tea can be purchased. The basket must be pre-ordered no later than the day before 11:00

About Voergaard Slot
Voergaard Castle is a unique and well-preserved Renaissance castle where you as a visitor can feel the history. Here you can see special architecture and experience the priceless art treasures up close. The castle offers guided tours where you can delve into the history and hear about characters such as Stygge Krumpen, Ingeborg Skeel and the latest owner Count Ejnar Oberbech-Clausen, as well as the site's very special ghost stories. There is also the opportunity to explore the dungeon and enjoy local specialities in the shop's café.
